During the 5 pm Fox News Republican Debate, Rick Perry wondered how Donald Trump can run for the “Republican nomination” but still support single-payer health care.
“I’ve had my issues with Donald Trump,” Perry stated. “How can you run for the Republican nomination and be for single payer healthcare? I mean, I ask that with all due respect.”
Gov. Perry also criticized the real-estate mogul for using his celebrity rather than his conservatism in conducting his presidential campaign, a fact Perry has raised in recent days.
