The one year anniversary of the death of Michael Brown, the 18-year-old whose death spawned protests and riots, saw more violence and looting in Ferguson, Mo.
Windows were smashed out in a beauty supply shop and mobs attempted to break into other businesses in the same strip mall. Police moved in and were able to restore order.
Later in the evening, around 11:15, shots rang out toward police.

Journalists covering the protests were not immune from the violence.
The great @phampel of @stltoday was just assaulted and robbed by looters. His face is cut but he seems OK. Unacceptable. — Jon Swaine (@jonswaine) August 10, 2015
Social media exploded again with anger toward the police.
