Celine Dion’s husband is battling throat cancer, and though doctors haven’t told him how long he has to live, René Angélil has already planned his funeral.
During a tearful interview with USA Today, Dion talked about her husband’s last wishes.
“I’ll say, ‘You’re scared? I understand. Talk to me about it,'” Dion said. “And René says to me, ‘I want to die in your arms.’ OK, fine, I’ll be there, you’ll die in my arms.”
Dion married Angélil in 1994, though she had known him since she was 12. They have three children together — a 14-year-old and 4-year-old twins.
She just returned to her residency in Las Vegas, but she said she didn’t want to at first because her husband is eating through a feeding tube three times a day.

“I don’t need it,” Dion said. “Don’t get me wrong, I love singing for people, but I have priorities. My biggest job is to tell my husband, ‘We’re fine. I’ll take care of our kids. You’ll watch us from another spot.'”
“We have asked [doctors] many times, how long does he have, three weeks, three months? René wants to know. But they say they don’t know.”
“When you see someone who is fighting so hard, it has a big impact on you. You have two choices. You look at your husband who’s very sick and you can’t help, and it kills you.
