A protester was arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer Wednesday as police and protesters gathered outside the courthouse in Baltimore during Freddie Gray pre-trial proceedings.

While police officials are still alert and cautious that protests could turn violent, things have so far remained peaceful. Depending on the ruling of the judge, that could change.

The judge must consider whether to try the officers together or seperately. The judge will also decide on a motion calling for the removal of prosecutor Marilyn Mosby because of prosecutorial misconduct.

Mosby quickly appealed to protesters after the arrest of the six officers, calling for justice and drawing criticism from many that she was going too far.

Her position as advocate for justice in the case could spark anger if she were dismissed by the judge.
