The University of Virginia’s club hockey team, which competes in the Atlantic Coast Collegiate Hockey League, made easy work of Virginia Commonwealth University in their home opener on Friday, but the highlight of the game came when UVA goalie Jake Anderson was ejected for chugging a beer during a timeout.

Anderson had been a brick wall through two periods, and didn’t even hesitate to drink a beer that was tossed to him from the stands. After finishing the beer Anderson was given a five minute major penalty and then quickly ejected.
UVA would go on to finish the game with a 10-1 victory. There has been no comment if Anderson will face suspension from the league.
