Hillary Clinton laughed at a question about America’s hunger for political outsiders from CBS’ John Dickerson Sunday, saying that she “can’t imagine anyone being more of an outsider than the first woman president.”
DICKERSON: Everybody wants an outsider, and that kind of puts you in a fix —
CLINTON: You know, John I don’t think so —
DICKERSON: Tell us why it doesn’t put you in a fix.
CLINTON: I can’t imagine anyone being more of an outsider than the first woman president. I mean really. Think about that.
DICKERSON: I agree —
CLINTON: If you lineup — I have all these mothers and fathers bring me placements with all the presidents, and they bring me their daughters and they say, “my daughter has a question for you.” And they say, “How come there are no girls on the place mats?” I think that would be a pretty unconventional choice.
