CBS’s Cordes: Experts Say Phishing Emails Clinton Received ‘Demonstrate The Risks Of Using A Private Server’ [VIDEO]

In a report aired on “CBS This Morning” Thursday, correspondent Nancy Cordes said that the infected emails sent to Hillary Clinton “demonstrate the risks of using a private server to conduct sensitive government businesses.” (RELATED: Emails Show Hackers With Ties To Russia Tried To Infiltrate Hillary’s Account)

Gary Miliefsky, a computer security expert explained to CBS, “Once the [Remote Access Trojan] is on your computer they can eavesdrop on your microphone, your webcam, your keyboard and all of the websites you visit and all of the files you open and they can even steal information covertly.” (RELATED: Hillary Ignored Mandatory Cyber-Security Training At State Department)

In the latest batch of Hillary Clinton’s emails released Wednesday, it was revealed that at least three State Department emails should have have been classified as secret. Five phishing emails were sent from a .gov address to Clinton’s private email addressed disguised as speeding tickets from the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.

The emails contained an attachment of “speeding ticket” that was infected with a RAT. The origin of these emails is reportedly Russia.
