The Chicago Cubs easily dispatched the Pittsburgh Pirates, 4-0, in Wednesday’s National League wildcard play-in game, and things got a little heated in the top of the 7th inning.

With two outs in the top half of the inning, Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta was hit by a pitch. The bean ball was the first time in Major League history that a starting pitcher had been plunked in a winner-take-all game, and obviously led to both benches clearing.
