Ahmed Mohamed made a fake bomb as a prank and got in trouble at school, so of course his nutty, publicity-hound dad has leveraged the resulting “Islamophobia” hoax into a world tour.
Last week, history-making genius Clock Kid met the genocidal leader of Sudan. Yesterday, he took the next logical step:
Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It’s what makes America great.

Unfortunately, though, Ahmed wasn’t able to submit his “clock” to a search by the Secret Service:
That’s because the Irving, TX police haven’t given this “clock” back to him. His family is suing them, citing how severely traumatized he’s been by this whole thing.
I know, right? Take a closer look at this poor lil’ guy’s trauma:
Not only is young Ahmed a technical genius, he’s also a precociously talented actor. It’s amazing how expertly he masks his inner trauma.
Did the police and school administrators of a Texas town overreact to a kid’s prank? Arguably. That doesn’t make it any less ridiculous to turn it into a huge “Islamophobia”-shaming spectacle. This kid is not a genius, his dad is not a serious person, and Obama is not a good president.
And no, this is not a rational response to the whole thing:
On second thought, maybe it is. After all, NASA is now a Muslim-outreach program. Maybe taking the cover off an old alarm clock, throwing the innards in a pencil box, and milking the resulting liberal-guilt-ridden publicity for all it’s worth can send you right out of this world… if you’re a designated victim.
