Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio lashed out at fellow White House hopeful Jeb Bush during Wednesday’s CNBC moderated debate, saying the former Florida governor has only raised the issue of Rubio’s missed Senate votes because “someone has convinced [him]” that it will help mount a “furious comeback.”
RUBIO: For the last few, I’ve listened to Jeb as he’s walked around the country and said that you’re modeling your campaign after John McCain … You know how many votes John McCain missed when he was mounting that furious comeback? Now Jeb, let me tell you, I don’t remember you ever complaining about John McCain’s vote record. The only reason you’re doing it now is because someone has convinced you that attacking me will help you.
