Judge Christina Argyres of Bernalillo County, New Mexico had some harsh words for a first-time offender when she told him that if he went to prison he’d get raped.

Isaiah Gay, 18, was in court for burglarizing houses when he told Judge Argyres that his actions were a result of impulsive behavior, according to KOB news.

Argyres was not pleased with Gay’s answer and responded by asking, “Do you know what would happen…to a young a dumb person in prison? Do you have any idea what would happen to you? You would probably be raped every day, for one. And I hate to sound like that, you know – rude, but that’s exactly what would happen to you.”

Argyres also added, “Again, he’s going to be somebody’s – I hate to use the word ‘bitch,’ but that’s exactly what he’s going to be…so I am willing to put him on probation.”

Gay, who was facing a 15-year sentence, was ultimately sentenced to five years of probation, with the 15-year sentence hanging over his head if he violates the terms of his probation.
