Hayden Panettiere Returns To Red Carpet For First Time Since Depression Treatment

Hayden Panettiere returned to the red carpet Monday night for the first time since she was treated at a facility for postpartum depression.

The actress was with her husband at the Ein Herz Fuer Kinder Gala in Berlin, Germany.

Panettiere gave birth to her daughter Kaya last December, and in October the 26-year-old checked into a facility because she was suffering from postpartum depression. (RELATED: Kim Kardashian Decides Whether Newborn Son Will Appear On TV)

“It’s something a lot of women experience,” Panettiere said during an earlier interview. “When [you are told] about postpartum depression you think it’s ‘I feel negative feelings towards my child; I want to injure or hurt my child.'”

“I’ve never, ever had those feelings. Some women do.”

“But, you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal.” (SLIDESHOW: These Hot Ladies Are Ready For Labor Day)
