An instrumental hymn released by a German anti-Muslim group jumped Adele’s wildly successful single “Hello” Tuesday to become the most purchased song on Amazon.

The hymn, titled “Gemeinsam sind wir stark!” (“Together we are strong!”), was released in October by Patriotische Europäer gegen die Islamisierung des Abendlandes, or Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the Occident (PEGIDA), in recognition of the anti-Muslim group’s one year anniversary.

Amazon started selling the track Dec. 21, and it has been steadily climbing the top 100 list since Christmas.

PEGIDA made headlines throughout the fall for organizing marches against Germany’s generous policy toward Syrian refugees. The largest rally in Dresden, where PEGIDA was founded, attracted more than 20,000 supporters.

Amazon responded to criticism for supporting PEGIDA’s instrumental hymn by adding a note above the “Buy” button Wednesday that states proceeds from its sales will be donated to charity organizations helping refugees.

The song has a rating of 2.9 out of five on Amazon — 98 percent of the votes are either a one or a five.

PEGIDA leader Lutz Bachmann thanked “idiot leftists” and the “lying media” in a tweet Wednesday for the free publicity of the song in recent days.
