Jeb Bush carries turtles in his pocket while out on the campaign trail in New Hampshire.
Campaigning in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on Wednesday, alluding to Aesop’s Fable of the tortoise and the hare, Bush explained he gives the turtles out to kids because he is embracing the phrase “slow and steady wins the race.”
Bush doesn’t just keep turtles in his pocket, he told reporters, “I have a bunch of turtles. I got the little baby Jesus, I got my rosary beads and I got three turtles.”
CNN reports that New Hampshire State Rep. William Gannon, who endorsed Bush gave him the turtles.
