When an emotional Kevin Durant accepted the 2014 NBA Most Valuable Player Award and dubbed his mother “the real MVP,” he sparked more than just a viral Internet meme.

Lifetime is scheduled to air “The Real MVP: The Wanda Pratt Story,” produced by Flavor Unit, Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere’s entertainment organization responsible for the 2010 basketball film “Just Wright.”

Deadline’s Denise Petski broke the news, noting the TV movie will debut May 8, this Mother’s Day.

Pratt is also on board as an executive producer. She will be played by Cassandra Freeman from “Inside Man,” while a grown-up Durant will be portrayed by Daniel Bellomy.

Pratt gave birth to Durant’s older brother Tony at age 18, and to Durant three years later.

“The odds were stacked against us. Single parent with two boys by the time you were 21 years old,” said Durant during his acceptance speech. “Everybody told us we weren’t supposed to be here. … One of the best memories I have was when we moved into our first apartment. No bed, no furniture. We just all sat in the living room and hugged each other. Because we thought we made it.”

In the audience, a proud, smiling, tearful Pratt mouthed, “I remember.”
