This has to be a first in Grammys history.

Sir Paul McCartney, the Beatle, was turned away from an after party following the Grammy Awards Monday night in Hollywood, TMZ reports.

McCartney tried to enter a party hosted by Tyga at Argyle in Hollywood with musician Beck and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, but the group was denied admittance.

The scene outside the club was caught on camera.

Security guards at the nightclub door were not impressed with McCartney and denied his entrance twice.

“How VIP do we gotta get?” McCartney can be heard saying.

Caught later leaving the party, Tyga admitted that Paul McCartney was a legend, but avoided further questions about his rejection.

Bow Wow, who’s no longer Lil’, also attended the party, and seemed shocked that McCartney was not let in.

“There’s no way,” Bow Wow told TMZ in an interview.

“Maybe it’s the fact that we’re younger than Paul. And it’s the fact that we’re a new generation,” Bow Wow guesses, claiming that McCartney wouldn’t fit into the scene at the club.

Paul McCartney and his crew ended up attending a Republic Records party at Hyde, where they were much more successful getting in.
