Adam Jentleson — Deputy Chief of Staff for Senate Minority leader [crscore]Harry Reid[/crscore] — tweeted Tuesday that Senate Majority Leader [crscore]Mitch McConnell[/crscore] will allow President Obama’s eventual nomination to fill Antonin Scalia’s Supreme Court Seat.
The next step in this process will be for Senator McConnell to back down and give President Obama’s nominee a hearing and a floor vote.

Jentleson’s tweets come just after Sen. Chuck Grassley said he would “wait until the nominee is made before” ruling out holding affirmation hearings.
On Saturday, McConnell had released a statement claiming “the American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice. Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new President.” (RELATED: McConnell Rules Out Scalia Replacement Under Obama)
McConnell’s office declined to give further comment on Jentleson’s tweets, saying “the Leader’s statement is his only statement” on the matter.
