Dr. Ben Carson says Democrats are “always going to bring up the race issue anytime they don’t get their way like little children having a temper tantrum.”

Wednesday on the “Hugh Hewitt Show,” Carson said “if everything is racial, why aren’t [the Democrats] saying that any problems that I have are because of racial prejudice? You know, why does it always only go in one direction. That makes no sense.”

Carson was asked respond to Clinton’s claim from Tuesday that “[Republicans] say they’ll reject anyone President Obama nominates, no matter how qualified. Some are even saying he doesn’t have the right to nominate anyone as if somehow, he’s not the real president. You know, that’s in keeping what we’ve heard all along, isn’t it? Many Republicans talk in coded racial language about takers and losers. They demonize President Obama and encourage the ugliest impulses of the paranoid fringe. This kind of hatred and bigotry has no place in our politics or our country.”

Hewitt asked Carson, “So Dr. Carson, are you talking in coded racial language?”

The famed neurosurgeon and presidential candidate said, “Well, I mean, I think she does. And you know, they’re always going to bring up the race issue anytime they don’t get their way like little children having a temper tantrum. It’s kind of comical, quite frankly. And you know, if everything is racial, why aren’t they saying that any problems that I have are because of racial prejudice? You know, why does it always only go in one direction. That makes no sense.”
