An examination Adolf Hitler’s medical records reveal he suffered from a rare condition called hypospadias, which may have left him with a micro-penis.

Historians Jonathan Mayo and Emma Craigie dug into the Fuhrer’s medical records in their book “Hitler’s Last Day: Minute by Minute.” The records show that he may have suffered from two forms of genital abnormalities.

“Hitler himself is believed to have had two forms of genital abnormality: an undescended testicle and a rare condition called penile hypospadias in which the urethra opens on the under side of the penis,” Mayo and Craigie wrote in the book.

Hypospadias is a condition that about one in every 300 boys suffer from at birth. People with hypospadias always have a smaller-than-averge penis, and often a micro-penis.

One of the mysteries surrounding Hitler is why he seemed to refrain from sex throughout his life. British historian Ian Kershaw, who has published several books on Hitler’s life, claims the Nazi leader was scared of catching an infection, and stayed away from women for that reason. Kershaw has also dismissed the many rumors surrounding Hitler’s sexuality as “anti-Nazi propaganda.”

Hitler’s personal doctor Theodor Morell is also believed to have prescribed Hitler with hormones and amphetamines in an attempt to improve his sex life.

Hitler was unmarried for almost the entirety of his life. He married his long-time partner Eva Braun April 29, 1945. The two committed suicide in a bunker in Berlin the next day.
