Duct tape really can do almost anything. Why, it can even make a campus protest tolerable!
Students at the University of Southern California protesting stranger danger on campus in the form of a David Horowitz talk provided a refreshing alternative to those who insist on trying to shout down those with different opinions: they duct-taped their mouths shut and formed a human chain at the side of the room in the “lamest protest ever.”

To explain why these children are so upset, here’s USC student Lida Dianti:
The College Republicans hosted David Horowitz on Wednesday for an event called “Stop the Jew Hatred: How Anti-Semitism is Perpetuated on College Campuses.” Dubbed the godfather of the modern anti-Muslim movement by the Southern Poverty Law Center, Horowitz is a conservative writer whose fundamentalist views degrade black Americans, immigrants and Arabs. Because incendiary rhetoric breeds intolerance against certain groups, it is irresponsible for a student organization to have brought in a speaker who foments religious and ethnic hostilities.
Horowitz has a history of making unfounded and racist remarks. He has refuted the prevalence of institutionalized racism in the United States. He claims that “some blacks can’t seem to locate the ladder of opportunity within reach of others,” and in doing so, dismisses the systems that actively oppress black Americans. He has described the Black Lives Matter movement as “a racist hate group founded by a core of radicals.”
See? Criticizing anything a black person does is racist, because he’s black. Criticizing anything a Muslim does is degrading, because he’s a Muslim. And using the word “he” is sexist, because intersectionality.
It’s irresponsible for a college to bring in a speaker like Horowitz, because students like Ms. Dianti disagree with him. They really don’t like it when people disagree with them. Why would you do something that these hothouse flowers don’t like, USC? That’s hate, is what that is. #NoH8, you guys!
Anything a leftist doesn’t like is hate speech, and hate speech isn’t free speech. Horowitz is just lucky those kids only put duct tape over their own mouths.
