Michael J. Fox has won an apology and clarification from American Media Inc. after publishing a story he says is “total B.S.” about his health.

On Friday, the AMI outlet, the Globe, issued a “clarification” on its’ website regarding a story they wrote on April 4th that put in doubt Fox’s health and state of mind.

“AMI apologizes to Michael J. Fox for an article about his health published in the April 4, 2016 issue of Globe,” they said. “Mr. Fox continues to live a fulfilling, successful life and to be an optimistic beacon of unflagging hope and inspiration for people living with the challenges of Parkinson’s. AMI regrets any implication to the contrary.”

The actor took to social media to address the apology while at the same time calling the original article “total B.S.”

The Globe article reportedly claimed that the actor was “preparing to die” and had “refused life-saving surgery,” and because he knows “he has no hope of halting the terrifying ravage of crippling Parkinson’s disease,” according to Gossip Cop.
