Former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown’s name has been mentioned as a possible running mate to Donald Trump, but the Republican says he’s not angling for the job.

“I’m not looking for anything,” Brown told The Daily Caller on Thursday. “That’s what makes me a lot different than the others. I just want to get a Republican in the White House and keep the Senate and the House and then I’ll be a very happy man.”

TheDC listed Brown as one of 13 potential candidates Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, could be considering for vice president.

Brown lost his Massachusetts seat to Elizabeth Warren in 2012 and then unsuccessfully sought a New Hampshire Senate seat in 2014. During his last race, he spoke often about illegal immigration, an issue Trump has run on.

Brown, who frequently appears on Fox News shows, remains popular among New England Republicans.

He was one of the first well-known elected officials to back Trump, endorsing the New York businessman before the New Hampshire primary.

Trump has repeatedly said he would like to pick a political person who could help push his agenda in Congress as his running mate.

During a campaign event in January, someone in the audience urged Trump to choose Brown for vice president.

“You know what? He’s central casting,” Trump replied. “Look at that guy! He’s central casting! A great guy and a beautiful wife and a great family. So important!”
