House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday she isn’t a fan of the way Democratic presidential nominee is selected, although she plays a role in the process herself as a Democratic superdelegate.

“By the way, I am not a supporter of superdelegates,” Pelosi said during a discussion at the Peterson Foundation 2016 Fiscal Summit. “I am one, but I don’t support them. I haven’t even endorsed yet, because there should be no doubt that what the people say should be what the outcome will be.”

When asked by CNN’s Dana Bash – the discussion moderator – whether she was planning on endorsing Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, Pelosi indirectly threw her support behind the candidate.

“Well let me just say, whoever the next president, whoever she may be, will be one of the best qualified people to enter the oval office by dent of knowledge, experience, vision, strategic thinking about how to get the job done,” she said.

Presumed Republican nominee Donald Trump recently said he has “always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi,” to which she seemed surprised.

“Did he really say that?” she replied when Bash inquired into her reaction to the comment.

Pelosi also said she has only had one interaction with the GOP presidential frontrunner years ago, and it was very amicable.

“He was a gentleman and lovely and all the sudden, it’s interesting, ” she said. “I have great faith in the American people, I think they’ll say we’ve had our fun now let’s get serious.”
