Donald Trump says that he would “love” to run against “Crazy Bernie” in the general election, asking “who is going to run against a socialist and lose?”
Appearing on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday, Trump says he calls Sanders “‘Crazy Bernie’ because he’s not very good.”
Trump suggested that beating Sanders in the general election “would be easier.”
“Who is going to run against a socialist and lose?” Trump asked. “I mean, he’s a socialist. You’re going to pay 95 percent tax.”
Later Trump added, “I’d love to run against him in one way, but there’s something about running against Hillary [Clinton] that I really do [inaudible].”
