Muslims for Trump founder Sajid Tarar praised Donald Trump saying that his fellow Muslim friends think that the Republican candidate “is the only one who can save America.”
Appearing on “CNN Tonight” on Monday, host Don Lemon asked why he was supporting Trump to which Tarar replied Monday, “There are several reasons. First of all, that radical Islam is I believe is not only a threat to western civilization it is a threat to Islam itself.” (RELATED: Trump Calls For Moratorium On Muslims Entering United States)
Trump is “the first time the first candidate who has brought it on the table, looked it eye to eye and he has said ‘America first, safety of America.'”
“We are Americans, we are American Muslims and it’s very important for us as well.”
Lemon interjected, “How are your Muslim friends reacting to this?”
“In the beginning it was hard but now frankly speaking they are joining, they are coming, they are listening to his message and to think he is the only one who can save America in the future, but not only this, he has plans to understand Islam,” Tarar said. “He has said several times he has said that I wanted to understand why Muslims hate us, what are the grassroots situation, and like I told you education, opportunity, and a lot of other things.”
“Right now we currently don’t have any foreign policy,” Tarar said. Trump is “looking forward to change, bring change from different angles to not only geoeconomic terms, on foreign policy and Islam.”
