A missing truck may be the best clue to finding two escaped Indiana inmates.

Authorities are searching for Chadwick Heath and Michael Roberts after they were discovered missing from jail early Saturday morning. During a head count, jail officials realized the two inmates were gone. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department said the pair escaped the jail through a small hole.

“Officers checked their cell and noticed a hole in both the interior and exterior walls,” the department said on Facebook. “Command staff began reviewing the camera system and observed Inmates Chadwick R. Heath and Michael D. Roberts escaping through, an approximately 2×2 foot hole at around 11:30 pm.”

Fayette County Sheriff’s Department officials said a missing truck may be key to finding them. A man reported a stolen Ford F350 dual wheel utility truck and said Roberts had stolen from him before, RTV6 reports. The truck is white with “JOBE BROTHERS” written in black on the side. The Indiana license plate number is SZP509.

“The complainant advised that Michael Roberts have previously worked for him and had stolen from him in the past,” the department said on Facebook. “The last time the truck was seen was Friday (June 17th) at around 8pm.”

Heath is facing felony narcotics dealing charges as well as nuisance charges. Roberts is facing felony burglary and theft charges. The department is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to their arrest.
