Blake Lively won’t apologize for posting a photo of her butt that some considered “racist.”
In May, the 28-year-old actress, who is pregnant with her second child, shared a shot of her backside with her 8 million followers on Instagram, but because her caption was a lyric from a rap song, people called her racist.
“L.A. face with an Oakland booty,” Lively captioned the photo.
But she said she was just celebrating her body during a radio interview Wednesday. (RELATED: Blake Lively Posted A Photo Of Her Butt. She Had No Idea It Would Anger Thousands)
“I was celebrating my body,” Lively said. “It’s nice to have a nice curve and not look like you’re starving to death.”
“It’s something I was proud of. I never meant to offend anyone. But Sir Mix-A-Lot, he actually said a very nice thing, he was very defensive and kind, because it’s just about celebrating women’s bodies, and that’s what I was doing.”
“I would never want to hurt anyone’s feelings or upset anyone.”
