Celebrities reacted quickly once the news came out that the U.S. Supreme Court justices had voted that a Texas abortion regulation is unconstitutional.
On Monday, entertainers like Cher, Lena Dunham and Michael Moore went on their Twitter and Instagram accounts to praise the 5-3 ruling by the Supreme Court that said Texas abortion clinics did not have to meet a certain set of criteria. In a message on her Instagram account, Lena Dunham posted a black and white picture of women standing in a circle. “GO SCOTUS,” Dunham wrote. “BLESS! Thank you for protecting the women of Texas and the people who love them! ”
“Thank you for sending a booming message that our bodies belong to US,” she added.” (And yes I did Google ‘coven of witches dancing’ to find a proper image for this moment.) Love to all you fighters who made your voices known!”
