The Donald Trump campaign announced the hire Friday of a former top advisor to Newt Gingrich, Kellyanne Conway, as the presumptive Republican nominee continues to professionalize his operation.

“Kellyanne will serve as senior advisor to the campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, and a member of the national polling team being led by Tony Fabrizio,” a campaign press release says. “Most recently, Kellyanne was President of Keep the Promise I, a PAC in support of Sen. Ted Cruz’s presidential campaign.”

Conway in 2012 worked as a top advisor on Gingrich’s campaign. The Trump campaign also announced the Friday that Karen Giorno “has joined the national campaign team as a senior political advisor.”

It was reported Thursday that Gingrich is a leading contender to be Trump’s running mate.

Giorno previously served on the Trump campaign as the Florida state director and the Southeast Regional Political Director. It was previously reported this week that the Trump campaign had hired Vincent Harris to lead its digital team. Harris previously headed the digital team of Sen. Rand Paul’s presidential campaign.

Harris is not with the Trump campaign anymore though. “Harris Media was engaged as subcontractor to do various project work for Trump’s digital agency of record. Nothing more or less,” Harris tweeted out Thursday. “We were not fired. We completed our various creative projects…I wish all involved good things! have reflected & learned from this commotion.”
