Dre was cited and released after authorities searched for a weapon and did not locate one and failed to find any evidence of the performer pointing a gun at the man.
“Due to the nature of the call, the person was searched, handcuffed, and briefly detained in a patrol car while deputies investigated the incident,” L.A. County Sheriff Captain Chris Reed said.
The artist told officials that the man was blocking his driveway and he asked him to leave, but said he never made any threats against him and that he never had a gun.
