Professional Golfer Rory McIlroy fired back at Irish boxers Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlan who attempted to troll him on Twitter over the weekend. The two Irishmen are representing their country at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio and took advantage of McIlroy’s absence at the Opening Ceremonies.
One of them went after Rory’s ex-fiancée Caroline Wozniacki while the other criticized McIlroy for bailing on the Irish team in the Rio Games.

Rory wasn’t phased by their jabs and quickly responded with a few punches of his own.
“Good luck lads! If your boxing is as good as your tweeting it should be two guaranteed golds!!” McIlroy responded sarcastically.
Barnes was the favorite to win the light-flyweight competition, but lost in the first round in an embarrassing defeat. It seems that either Rory or Wozniacki got to his head.
Conlan takes to the ring on Sunday to fight in the bantam-weight round of 16. We’ll have to wait and see if he’s as rattled as Barnes was.
