The 41-year-old rapper — who was a staunch advocate for Bernie Sanders earlier this year — defended the Republican nominee’s comments about the Second Amendment.

“I don’t think that’s what he was saying,” the rapper told a TMZ photographer at the Los Angeles airport. “I hope that’s not what he was saying. He’s batshit crazy, but I don’t think he would call for the assassination of another presidential candidate.”

“He was saying that vote could prevent her [from being president].”

When asked about Trump saying that Barack Obama founded ISIS, the rapper said he thought Trump was “crazy.”

“I think our government has done a great job at destabilizing countries and creating enemies,” he said. “As Americans, we have to understand that in the world we are an empire. We had one candidate this year who had a strong chance at winning and was anti-war and that was Bernie Sanders.”

“If you’re voting for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, you’re voting for the same thing.”

Mike added that he definitely won’t be voting for the Republican or Democratic nominee.
