Life’s gotta be tough for Australian high jumper Brandon Starc right now. Despite competing in the Olympic finals Tuesday, all people can focus on is his outstanding “Game of Thrones”-style name.
In the hit HBO fantasy series, Isaac Hempstead Wright plays fan favorite Bran Stark. Beyond the similar names, the two men have a mild look-a-like thing going on. This being the 21st century and all, the Internet was quick to take notice and started firing off jokes at rapid speed. Check out some of the best ones below.

There is an Australian named Brandon Starc at the Olympics in high jump. No confirmation on there being a Hodor.

Naturally, there were also a fair share of three-eyed raven jokes as well, though they came with an Australian twist.
You’re the 3-eyed wombat now, Australian high jumper Brandon Starc.

We can’t yet tell if Starc himself is aware of the joke, but he seems to be taking everything in stride.
So overwhelmed with the amount of support from close and far. Thank you all so much. Time to recover and go bigger in the final!
