O.J. Simpson was a famous former football star when he was accused of murdering his wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in the summer of 1994.

Though he was acquitted the following year, Simpson’s trial was one of the most sensational court cases of all time.

An estimated 100 million people watched when the jury delivered his “not guilty” verdict — just four hours after the closing statements ended.

In 1997, Simpson was ordered to pay more than $33 milllion for their wrongful deaths.
