Chelsea Handler mocked Melania Trump after she threatened legal action because several news outlets were reportedly spreading false rumors about her past.

The Republican nominee’s wife said she was considering suing the Daily Mail after it published reports that she worked as an escort in the 1990s. The 41-year-old comedian laughed at her on Twitter this week.

“This law firm is litigation counsel for Melania Trump,” Charles Harder said in a statement. “Mrs Trump has placed several news organizations on notice of her legal claims against them, including Daily Mail among others, for making false and defamatory statements about her supposedly having been an ‘escort’ in the 1990s.”
