During the Thursday broadcast of his radio show, Rush Limbaugh burst out laughing while discussing Donald Trump’s new immigration plan.

“First they tried Marco Rubio. They tried the Gang of 8. They tried Jeb Bush. They tried any number of people. They tried me!” Limbaugh stated. “They tried everybody they could think of to try to convince the Republican base to support some sort of amnesty for illegal immigrants.” (RELATED: Trump Now Appears Open To Pathway To Legalization For Some Illegal Immigrants)

“Who knew that it would be Donald Trump to come and convert the GOP base to supporting amnesty in the same week Ann Coulter’s book comes out?” he said between hearty guffaws. “Ann’s got this book, and in it she says the only thing that can cause trump any trouble whatsoever is if he flip flops on abortion or immigration and goes amnesty, and it looks like he’s getting close to it.”
“What timing!”
