Republican nominee Donald Trump leads Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in Ohio, according to a state poll published Wednesday.

Trump led Clinton 48 to 43. There were a very small number of undecided voters in the poll. Only 3 percent reported they were unsure of who to vote for, and 6 percent of voters reported they did not plan to vote, according to the Bloomberg poll.

For the first time this election cycle, voters actually support the nominee they plan to vote for. In the past, the majority of Clinton and Trump supporters were voting for their respective candidate mainly because of negative feelings about the opposing candidate.

Fifty-six percent of Clinton voters reported that their support Clinton was not a verdict on Trump. Only 37 percent chose Clinton out of condemnation for Trump.

Trump earned similar numbers, with 49 percent of voters choosing Trump because they felt he would be the best fit for the country, and 45 percent of voters reported they only support Trump because they don’t want Clinton.

Statistics site FiveThirtyEight ranks Ohio as “leans Democratic,” and gives Clinton a 56.2 percent chance to win the state. That number doesn’t reflect the Bloomberg poll, and the previous poll in the state gives Clinton a seven-point lead.

Bloomberg polled 1,138 registered voters from Sept. 9-12. The poll carried a margin of error of 3.5 percent in either direction.
