MSNBC’s Chris Hayes is thankful NYC terror suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami opted to use explosives rather than firearms to carry out his nefarious attack in New York City over the weekend.
Hayes first tweeted an article Monday morning talking about how would-be-thieves helped discover not-yet-detonated explosives in two, separate instances in New York.

Hayes then followed that with a second tweet claiming “we’re also very very lucky that the attackers tried to use explosives rather than guns.”
We’re also very very lucky that the attackers tried to use explosives rather than guns.

Twitter did not appreciate his sentiment.
@chrislhayes He shot a cop this morning. One person. His bomb injured 29, and could have been a lot more deadly.

Exactly. When the military wants to kill a lot of people, they avoid bombs. https://t.co/5TXUmeoVSv— Smittie (@smittie61984) September 19, 2016
