Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump lamented the treatment the New York City bombing suspect will get in the hands of law enforcement officials, saying he’ll “probably even have room service.”

“Today, we have caught this evil thug who planted the bombs,” Trump said at a rally in Florida after Ahmad Khan Rahami was arrested in connection to the bombing Monday. “Thank you, law enforcement. Thank you, police. Right. But the bad part — we will probably give him amazing hospitalization.”

“He will be taken care of by some of the best doctors in the world,” Trump continued. “He will be given a fully modern and updated hospital room. And he’ll probably even have room service, the way our country is.”

Rahami is suspected of planting two bombs in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan and two others in New Jersey. One exploded on the route of a Marine Corps charity run, but the race was delayed and no one was injured in the blast. Another detonated in Chelsea, wounding 29 people. Police detonated a third near a train station in New Jersey after two homeless men stumbled upon the bomb in a backpack.

“And on top of all of that, he will be represented by an outstanding lawyer,” Trump continued. “His case will go through the various court systems for years, and in the end people will forget and his punishment will not be what it once would have been.”

“What a sad situation,” he said. “We must have speedy but fair trials. And we must deliver a just and very harsh punishment to these people.”
