Legendary golfer Arnold Palmer died on Sept. 25, and President Barack Obama immediately rushed to social to remember Palmer … with pictures of himself.

President Barack Obama has a habit of commemorating deaths of important figures and Americans by posting a picture of himself on Twitter. Here are six examples of the president doing just that.

1. Muhammad Ali

2. Rosa Parks

3. Arnold Palmer

4. Nelson Mandela

5. 9/11 Commemoration

6. Pearl Harbor

President Obama put a picture of himself on Facebook landing at Pearl Harbor with the caption: “Today, with solemn pride and reverence, let us remember those who fought and died at Pearl Harbor, acknowledge everyone who carried their legacy forward, and reaffirm our commitment to upholding the ideals for which they served. – President Obama.” The picture and the post have both been deleted from his Facebook page.
