Democratic Nebraska Rep. Brad Ashford, who is running against Republican retired U.S. Air Force Brigadier Gen. Don Bacon, was unable to identify the city in his home state on the ISIS Kill list during Tuesday.

“I don’t know what cities are on the kill list,  I’ve never been briefed on that I know of,” he said.

Bacon lambasted his opponent for being unaware Bellevue, one of the 1,000 potential targets listed by the terrorist organization, saying he should be knowledgeable on the topic, especially since he’s a member of the House Committee on Armed Services.

Bacon notes that its proximity to Offutt Air Force Base makes the area a target, adding that he thinks it’s critical for representatives to be aware of potential threats around their district so they can prepare accordingly.

Ashford quipped that in the event of an attack, his strategy would be to bring local law enforcement together with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI, adding that he voted with Republicans on legislation to ensure they would have the resources required in the event of an attack or other catastrophe.
