Apple announced the release of its latest product Tuesday — a hardcover book with 450 photographs of past and current Apple products.

The book chronicles 20 years of Apple’s design, including devices like the famous 1998 iMac and the lesser-known 2015 Apple Pencil, according to the company’s official press release. (RELATED: Apple Created The iPhone 7 Without A Headphone Jack And The Free Market Pounced)

The book, which is titled “Designed by Apple in California,” costs up to $300.

It “is available in two sizes and printed on specially milled, custom-dyed paper with gilded matte silver edges, using eight color separations and low-ghost ink. This linen-bound, hardcover volume was developed over an eight-year period,” according to an Apple press release.

The book, which sounds like it was made by a 15th century Venetian artisan, is available at the Apple Stores where the usual electronic devices are purveyed.

“Apple’s more than 100,000 employees are dedicated to making the best products on earth, and to leaving the world better than we found it,” the press release concludes.

The tech conglomerate apparently wants people to see vivid images of “the best products on earth” and this comprehensive, yet expensive book can potentially help achieve that.
