Veteran actor James Woods stated Thursday that he will no longer be using Twitter because the social media platform has been suspending the accounts of certain alt right accounts and engaging in censorship overall.
Since @Twitter is now in the #censorship business, I will no longer use its service for my constitutional right to free speech. #GoodbyeAll pic.twitter.com/bismJDb3wh

Woods is referencing the report that claims that Twitter has discontinued the accounts of several high-profile conservatives, which some refer to as the “alt-right.”
Facebook has been mulling over similar measures, like creating a task force to crack down on what some subjectively consider “fake news.”
Woods has been one of the few people in Hollywood to voice support for President-elect Donald Trump.
The veteran thespian went on a Twitter rant condemning former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for being a “corrupt liar” among many other negative things.
Hillary Clinton is nuttier than Nancy Pelosi, and Pelosi is the gold standard of nuts. pic.twitter.com/8QhQoznUBH

There are several other instances of Woods using the social media platform to express his extreme discontent with the prospect of Clinton as president of the U.S.
Now that #WhatsHerName has been relegated to the dustbin of political history, the list on the right is just a stunning lesson in hubris… pic.twitter.com/Mn22rlwPbP

Now Woods’ candid voice will go unheard as he boycotts the social media company (which seems to be faltering as of late).
