Update: At about 11 am, Columbus police confirmed that one suspect was dead. Two other people have been arrested, though it is unclear whether they are suspected accomplices. Some bystanders claim police have simply been handcuffing everybody in a nearby parking garage as they search it for additional suspects.
Ohio State University’s safety department is warning students that an active shooter is on the loose.

A local news reporter has reported that seven people were hospitalized in relation to the attack. The total later grew
Another local reporter says the attacker apparently used a machete to attack at least one person.
