A desperate man in Northern China recently threatened the unthinkable for love, but Chinese authorities ruined his plans.
After his girlfriend broke up with him, Mr. Li, a 30-year-old resident of Suifenhe, Heilongjiang Province, tried multiple times to talk to her about getting back together, but she refused to see him.
With no other reasonable recourse, the troubled and heartbroken man did exactly what any unstable person would do … He constructed a fake explosive device and made ridiculous threats, reports East Day
Mr. Li wrapped four sausages in paper and tied them together to make them look like a real bomb.
He then sent a picture of the “bomb” strapped to his chest to his ex-girlfriend and threatened to kill her and her entire family.
To make the threat seem more real, Mr. Li told his sister that he was going to die with his girlfriend.
Unaware that the bomb was made of meat and fearing that her brother would do something “stupid,” she promptly called the police.
The sausage bomber was arrested and charged with endangering public security. When the police finally saw Mr. Li’s bomb, they called his plot and the weapon “ridiculous.”
Mr. Li was detained for five days. A further investigation into the situation is underway.
