Former President George W. Bush famously dodged a shoe thrown at him by an Iraqi journalist eight years ago today.
The incident occurred on Bush’s last visit to Iraq. The scene was widely shown on television, at the time, as a symbol of the loss in U.S. prestige, and the shoe thrower was imprisoned.
