In the latest news on the fake news war — a blatant attack on free speech and independent, alternative media — Facebook announced on Thursday that they’re going to start fact checking, labelling, and burying fake news and hoaxes in the News Feed.
What’s more, they’re partnering with the well known liberal myth debunking site Snopes and ABC News as their third party fact checking sources. Both of which are very shady and completely unreliable in my opinion.
And instead of rolling this measure out across the entire Facebook populace, they’re testing it out on only a small percentage of their users in the United States first. I suspect they’ll subtly roll out the entire totalitarian mass censorship scheme over time so that the average Joe probably wouldn’t notice.
A company spokesperson told Business Insider that the social network will also use algorithms that detect whether a story that appears fake is going viral, to determine if it should label the story as fake and bury it in peoples’ feeds.
“We’ve focused our efforts on the worst of the worst, on the clear hoaxes spread by spammers for their own gain, and on engaging both our community and third party organisations,” Facebook News Feed chief Adam Mosseri said in a company blog post on Thursday.
Clearly, this war on “fake” news is getting more and more aggressive each passing day and it only serves to show that the militant left are becoming more desperate to salvage some scrap of credibility — credibility which they seemingly have lost in its entirety.
They think the best way to do this — which is perfectly in line with their Marxist ideology — is censorship of anyone and any information that does not fit in with their approved narrative.
This is no doubt, a Nazi-style censorship blitz on steroids. As of the third quarter of this year, Facebook had 1.23 billion monthly users. That’s nearly 1% of the world’s entire population. This censorship will literally affect even those who do not use Facebook. For example, Gen Y often pass on news from Facebook to their Baby Boomer grandparents.
The fact of the matter is that they have absolutely no basis whatsoever for making these wild and irresponsible claims that websites such as Drudge Report, WND and Breitbart are producing fake news. I have not see a single conservative-produced fake news story that the corporate media shills have been using as of late that they can factually prove was fake. Not a single one. Instead they just round up all the conservative news sites and baselessly label them as “fake news.” On the other hand, we have well documented proof that the mainstream media produce fake news stories on a very regular basis.
This is not to say that we who are involved in conservative, independent media do not mess up at times – and I would expect that we would have the integrity to own up to our mistakes – however, historically it is not conservatives who have been the ones pushing the barrow of hyper-sensationalised, government controlled dis-information.
On the subject of dis-information, I would like to remind us that in the ’50’s the CIA’s major media psy-op “Operation Mockingbird” first debuted. The CIA is even on record admitting to Congress of planting operatives in corporate media outlets. I am quite certain that such activity continues today.
I believe this latest Facebook censorship blitz is part of a major psy-op on its users to brainwash those gullible enough to swallow the daily lies and propaganda fed to them by the corporate media establishment.
Not only is this an organized conspiracy against alternative, independent news agencies, it is a deliberate attempt to reinforce, concrete and propagate one authorized narrative and one narrative only — that of the white-supremacist, neo-Nazi Marxists.
It is a conspiracy against you… me… all of us — for it is us as citizens who can collectively shape the news narrative and they don’t like that nor do they want that to happen. Knowledge is power and they know it.
My advice to you is to outright boycott the Facebook hampster wheel. Don’t get your news from your Facebook feed, because you will not see the news — particularly that of the Christian worldview that you espouse as it will be blatantly hid from your very eyes.
This is a Brave New World, beyond the shadow of a doubt. It’s frightening what the future holds but we can resist, we can fight back, we can continue to fight for liberty.
