Supporter of President-elect Donald Trump Richard Spencer wants to be Montana’s lone U.S. representative, according to a Friday report in The Huffington Post.

Spencer heads the ambiguously-named National Policy Institute, but the stated goal of the organization is to advance “the heritage, identity, and future of  people of European descent in the United States, and around the world,” according to the group’s website.

Spencer told The Huffington Post that he is interested in the seat that will open when current Republican Representative Ryan Zinke is confirmed as secretary of the interior next year.

“I’m taking it very seriously,” Richard Spencer told The Huffington Post. “It’s an exciting prospect.”

Spencer claims to be a resident of Montana, but Spencer reportedly splits his time between his home in Whitefish, Mt. and his house in Arlington, Va.

“A lot of people were calling me and saying, ‘Oh, you should do it, just do it, this is the moment.’ I’m obviously flattered,” Spencer continued. “If I did this, it would not be some eccentric campaign that no one talks about and is a footnote to history. It would become a major conversation around the country … just because of my profile in the alt-right. Again, I would only do it to win it.”
