In an interview that ran Monday, POTUS claimed “he could’ve mobilized a majority of the American people to rally” against the eventual President-elect, which Huckabee considered a major slight against Secretary Clinton.

“What an insult to Hillary Clinton by Barack Obama to say, ‘she’s a loser, I’m a winner. She couldn’t win, I would have won!'” the former Arkansas governor exclaimed. “If I were Hillary Clinton, I would be livid that the president was making those statements.”

“Let’s not forget that he went out there and was giving a full-throated support for Hillary,” he added. “He couldn’t push her over the top.”

“How vain must a person be in order to say that I would have won the election?” Huckabee posed. “I think it’s immaterial and, you know, frankly, why would he say something like that? What point does it have?”

Trump responded to Obama’s claim with a statement Monday evening. (RELATED: Trump Puts Obama On Blast)

“President Obama said that he thinks he would have won against me,” the President-elect tweeted. “He should say that but I say NO WAY! – jobs leaving, ISIS, OCare, etc [sic]”
