FedEx announced it has “no plans” on taking any action after one of its drivers rescued an American flag from protesters.

Protesters gathered at Ped Mall in Iowa City, Iowa, to protest President Donald Trump. They had a fire burning and threw the American flag in it. The driver, Matt Uhrin, raced in and snatched the flag from the flames, cradling it to his chest. (RELATED: MUST WATCH: FedEx Driver Saves An American Flag Protesters Try To Burn)

Protesters screamed at him, and attempted multiple times to rip the flag away from him. Uhrin defended himself and the flag with a fire extinguisher, before taking it back to his FedEx truck.

FedEx communications adviser Jim Masilak sent an initial statement to The Daily Caller News Foundation Friday saying the company, “reviewed the facts of the incident and interviewed our courier to better understand what took place.  As with all personnel issues,  we are handling the matter internally.”

FedEx then released a Saturday statement about the incident:

Two protesters, Osgerby and Kelli Ebensberger, were arrested, according to The Blaze. They have been charged with breaking a city ordinance against public fires.
